Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly set their sights on signing Torino striker Andrea Belotti, amid continuous uncertainty around Harry Kane's future.
The 28-year-old has endured an injury-hit season this year, meaning that he has only made 15 Serie A appearances, during which time he has netted four goals.
A deal to secure Belotti's signature is simplified by the fact that the Italy international is out of contract at the Stadio Grande Torino this summer, meaning he could arrive in North London on a free transfer.
According to Sport Witness, Belotti could come into the Tottenham squad to provide cover for Kane, which is a role Spurs have struggled to fill with the likes of Roberto Soldado and Carlos Vinicius failing to set a light to their Tottenham career.
Belotti will have to decide whether he would be willing to second Kane and by doing so potentially limit his game time, but after a disappointing season due to injury, there may not be many other clubs looking to recruit the forward.
Since arriving at Torino in 2015, Belotti has gone on to score 109 goals in 244 appearances for the club.
