Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly failed in an attempt to lure Marseille striker Loic Remy to White Hart Lane.
The North London club have been quiet in the market this month, but are known for their last-ditch efforts to bring in new additions on deadline day.
According to reports, Marseille chairman Vincent Labrune has revealed that the French outfit turned down a bid in the region of £18m for the 25-year-old frontman.
Earlier this month Spurs boss Harry Redknapp played down suggestions that the Premier League side are likely to clinch the player.
