Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly made a bid for Schalke 04's young striker Leroy Sane.
The 19-year-old has impressed since breaking into the first team last season and according to German publication Kicker, the London club have made an offer of £8.5m.
However, Sane signed a new two-year contract in the summer and it is believed that the Gelsinkirchen outfit turned down the approach for the German youth international.
Spurs are reportedly still keen on signing Sane and could come back with another bid before other big European clubs join the race for the youngster.
Sane has scored three goals in his last three Bundesliga games for Schalke this season.
