Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly plotting a move for Southampton's James Ward-Prowse in the summer and are keeping tabs on the midfielder's situation at St Mary's.
Ward-Prowse became Southampton's all-time record appearance-maker in the Premier League after being part of the Saints' 1-0 win over Leicester City on home soil on Saturday evening.
The 28-year-old has featured in almost 400 games for Southampton since graduating from their academy, scoring 52 goals and assisting on 51 occasions in a Saints career which spans over a decade.
A report from Football Insider claims that Antonio Conte's Spurs are monitoring the situation of the England international, who is expected to leave St Mary's in the summer if Southampton's 11-year stay in the Premier League comes to an end.
It is also claimed that Aston Villa hold an interest in Ward-Prowse, with the admiration from Villa Park coming with the midfielder just one goal behind David Beckham's top-flight free-kick record.
Southampton will continue their fight for Premier League survival at Manchester United on Sunday, whereas Spurs face a crucial clash in the Champions League round of 16 against AC Milan on Wednesday night.
