Tottenham Hotspur are believed to have informed Premier League opponents Newcastle United that they are permitted to bid for out-of-favour striker Roman Pavlyuchenko.
The 30-year-old frontman, who has failed to cement a spot in Harry Redknapp's first team, has been linked with a switch away from White Hart Lane in recent months.
Despite Pavlyuchenko's agent claiming that the North London side are attempting to price the striker out of a move from the club, it is thought that Newcastle along with rivals Sunderland are options for the player, according to the Daily Mail.
The Russian forward has also been linked with a move to French outfit Paris Saint-Germain.
