Long-serving Tottenham Hotspur forward Son Heung-min is reportedly being targeted by one of Turkish football's biggest clubs.

Tottenham Hotspur may reportedly be required to fend off interest in Son Heung-min at the start of 2025.

Aside from Harry Kane, the South Korea international has been the standout player in a Spurs shirt for almost a decade.

A total of 165 goals and 87 assists have been contributed from 419 appearances in all competitions, the 32-year-old now the club captain.

However, with less than a year remaining on his contract, Spurs and Son have decisions to make over how to progress forward.

If reports are to be believed, the North Londoners have the option of extending the attacker's terms for a further 12 months, yet that may only buy them time to generate a substantial transfer fee.

Meanwhile, Son is yet to decide whether he wishes to extend his stay in England's capital or take on a new challenge as soon as possible.

Turkish giants want to pull off 'transfer bomb'

According to Fanatik, Galatasaray have ambitions to pull off what is being as a 'transfer bomb' at the beginning of next year.

The hierarchy at the Super Lig champions and current leaders have given the green light for a proposal to be presented for the signature of Son.

Furthermore, it is alleged that Galatasaray plan to free up space in their squad and on the wage bill by allowing Hakim Ziyech to leave the club.

Ziyech, a former Chelsea star, has failed to make a sustained impact since his move last year, making just the 30 appearances.

He allegedly possesses the desire to continue his career in MLS and will have the freedom to discuss terms with any potential suitors from January onwards.

Galatasaray want further big names

Although Galatasaray have always been regarded as a major club in their own right, adding Victor Osimhen to their ranks in September only strengthened their position domestically and on the continent.

Despite the likelihood that the Nigeria international will only spend a season at Galatasaray before returning to parent club Napoli, his presence has taken the Yellow-Reds to a new level.

Galatasaray have also lost Mauro Icardi for the season with a serious knee injury, a development which has intensified their search for an alternative.
