Jannik Vestergaard has insisted that he is focused on Southampton but has welcomed suggestions that Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing him.
The 28-year-old could be available for a cut-price fee during this summer's transfer window as his current deal at St Mary's is due to expire next June.
A recent report claimed that Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho was keen to bring the central defender to North London in the upcoming market, and Vestergaard has said that it is 'nice to have a pat on the back' from big clubs.
"I can only say that of course it's always a pat on the back with stories of interest from other big clubs. But right now I have a contract with Southampton so, it's not something I can talk about," Vestergaard told Tipsbladet.
"I focus on the matches in the Premier League, on the FA Cup cup semi-final at Wembley, and now the important matches with the national team."
The Denmark international has scored three times in 21 Premier League appearances for Ralph Hasenhuttl's side during the 2020-21 campaign.
