Tottenham Hotspur head coach Tim Sherwood has backed teenage midfielder Nabil Bentaleb to earn a place at this summer's World Cup.
The 19-year-old was born in France to parents from Algeria and is therefore eligible to represent either country, both of which have qualified for Brazil 2014.
Sherwood told reporters: "If he carries on the way he is going, he'll be knocking at the door for the French squad at the World Cup.
"He's got to make a decision and I'm not sure how much love the French are showing him now.
"He's been in the wilderness, but now he's not and everyone is starting to know about him."
If Bentaleb stays in England for another three years and does not make his senior debut for France or Algeria, then he will also become eligible to play for the Three Lions.
