St Johnstone appoint Tommy Wright

St Johnstone appoint former assistant Tommy Wright as their new manager.

A statement on St Johnstone's official website has confirmed that Tommy Wright has replaced former boss Steve Lomas at the helm of the club.

Lomas stepped down from his position last week to join Championship side Millwall, but St Johnstone have wasted no time appointing a replacement.

"The club is delighted to announce the appointment of Tommy Wright as the new manager of St Johnstone Football club," read the statement.

"Tommy is joined by Callum Davidson, who will work alongside him as his assistant."

The duo will be unveiled to the media next Tuesday.
