Team News: St Johnstone call on Steve MacLean for Partick Thistle clash

Steve MacLean leads the St Johnstone attack while James McFadden serves a suspension.

St Johnstone have drafted in striker Steve MacLean to lead the attack against Partick Thistle in the absence of the suspended James McFadden.

Brian Easton has been recalled to the Saints' rearguard after returning from a calf strain, while fellow defender Tam Scobbie has been passed fit enough for a place on the bench.

Partick welcome back midfielder Abdul Osman following a hamstring problem, but are still without Sean Welsh and Christie Elliott, while Gary Fraser misses out through a bout of illness.

Jordan McMillan remains suspended while the club investigates an unspecified off-the-field issue.
