Scottish youngster John McGinn has signed for Hibernian on a four-year contract.
The 20-year-old, who had been on trial at MLS outfit Houston Dynamo earlier this month, joins the Scottish Championship side on a free transfer following his release by St Mirren.
McGinn came through the youth ranks at the club and went on to make 98 appearances following his debut in 2012.
The midfielder suffered a thigh injury in April following a training ground prank by Buddies captain Steven Thompson.
Hibernian head coach Alan Stubbs said: "We're delighted that John has signed for the club – his arrival symbolises our ambitions for the future.
"John had other options, so we're really pleased that he has chosen Hibernian and the aim is for him to achieve his career goals at our club."
McGinn has made five appearances for the Scotland Under-21s team.
