New Stevenage manager Teddy Sheringham made his third signing of the summer this afternoon.
The former England striker has convinced Steven Schumacher to join his squad at Broadhall Way, having previously played for Bury and Fleetwood Town.
"It wasn't a difficult decision, no. I spoke to the manager and the chairman a couple of weeks ago before I went off on holiday and I was really interested in what they had to say," the 31-year-old told the club's official website.
"We arranged a meeting for when I got back from my break and came down to see them, saw the training ground and listened to what direction they thought the club is going in and I was excited and wanted to come on board."
Mark Hughes and Brett Williams are the other two players to have joined Stevenage since Sheringham took charge last month.
