Stoke City manager Tony Pulis has insisted that striker Michael Owen will not walk into the first team despite his goal against Swansea City.
The 33-year-old found the back of the net for the first time since moving to the Britannia Stadium in the summer during the Potters' 3-1 defeat to the Swans in the Premier League last Saturday.
"He is part of 20 players that I am thinking about," BBC Sport quotes Pulis as saying. "There are other players who are knocking at my door as well as Michael."
"This club is not just about one player and it will remain that way as long as I am in charge.
"It is always good to have competition and maybe there are one or two areas we need to get players in just to keep people on their toes."
Stoke sit 10th in the Premier League table following their defeat to Swansea.
