Stoke City defender Kevin Wimmer has reportedly been put on a special fitness regime by new manager Paul Lambert.
The ex-Wolverhampton Wanderers coach has deemed Wimmer 'unfit' to carry out his pressing style of football, according to The Telegraph.
The former Tottenham Hotspur centre-back, who was only signed by the club last summer, has not featured for Lambert since his appointment as manager in January.
However, the £18m man has failed to nail down a starting spot for Stoke, despite the Potters conceding the most Premier League goals this season.
Lambert admitted last week that Saido Berahino is also facing similar consequences as the forward is "not up to my level of fitness".
Stoke will face league leaders Manchester City on Monday night at the bet365 Stadium.
