Stoke City manager Mark Hughes has revealed that the club have already begun to talk with players over the possibility of joining the Potters in the summer.
Hughes's side have had a solid season in the Premier League as they passed the 50-point mark with their 3-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur last week.
The 51-year-old believes that the club's performances over the past two seasons have made them an attractive proposition for players across the world.
Hughes told the club's official website: "We are speaking to players and agents as we speak and things look to be going well. It is early but the signs are encouraging and we are hopeful of doing some good business in the summer.
"The option that we are to good players is different now to what it was a year or two go. We are now a viable option, which is good news for us because it opens up the pool of players available to us.
"We are looking to exploit that. It's difficult to say how many I would like to bring in. You never manage to get every target you chase, but if we do the work that we need to do, and make sure we stick to our A targets then we will be fine."
Stoke play Burnley in their Premier League match at Turf Moor later today.
