Stoke City midfielder Steven N'Zonzi has joined Europa League champions Sevilla on a four-year deal.
The Frenchman, who was ever-present for the Potters in the Premier League last term, departs the Britannia Stadium for a club-record fee of £7m.
Mark Hughes revealed on Wednesday afternoon that the club would reluctantly allow the 26-year-old to speak to Sevilla, with both sides now confirming that a deal has been reached.
A statement on City's official website added: "The club would like to place on record its thanks to Steven and offer him our best wishes."
Stoke's previous record sale came back in 2011 when they sold striker Tuncay to Wolfsburg.
