Stoke City are reportedly closing in on the signature of Houston Dynamo defender Geoff Cameron.
The Potters are looking to the American to replace Jonathan Woodgate, who left the club to sign for Middlesbrough on Friday.
Cameron, 26, is highly rated in the MLS after five impressive seasons for the Dynamo.
The USA international has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs but Stoke are now believed to be at the head of the queue.
However, Tony Pulis must first agree the transfer with the MLS, who hold the player's registration.
