Stoke City forward Jonathan Walters has revealed that he is no closer to signing a new deal, but insists that he wants to stay at the Britannia Stadium.
The 31-year-old, who signed for the Potters from Ipswich Town in 2010, has entered the final year of his contract.
"There's nothing sorted as of yet," The Sentinel quotes Walters as saying. "We'll see what happens. I've been here five seasons now.
"Each year we've improved and as a player I still feel like I'm getting better and better each season too. It's a good project to be involved in."
Walters featured in Stoke's pre-season Barclays Asia Trophy match against Everton in Singapore on Wednesday, which ended in a 5-4 defeat on penalties.
