Greuther Furth too strong for Stuttgart

Greuther Furth prove too strong for 10-man Stuttgart as they beat them 2-0 away from home, thanks to an own goal from Gotoku Sakai and an Ilir Azemi strike.

Already-relegated Greuther Furth have registered a 2-0 win against 10-man Stuttgart away from home in the Bundesliga.

The visitors had to wait until the 51st minute to break the deadlock as Gotoku Sakai inadvertently put the ball into his own net.

Stuttgart then conceded a penalty and went down to 10 men on 74 minutes. Antonio Rudiger brought down Felix Klaus inside his own area and was then sent off for fighting.

However, goalkeeper Sven Ulreich came to Stuttgart's rescue as he kept out Bernd Nehrig's spot kick.

Then a minute from full time Ilir Azemi wrapped up the points for Mainz when he latched on to Edgar Prib's pass before shooting home from close range.
