Sunderland midfielder Liam Bridcutt has admitted that he looks up to Black Cats manager Gus Poyet.
The 24-year-old, who worked with the Uruguayan at Brighton & Hove Albion before joining him again in January, admits that he was inspired by Poyet during his time in the youth academy at Chelsea.
"Growing up playing for Chelsea, Gus was one of the key players there at the time," Bridcutt told the Sunderland Echo.
"I've always looked up to him as a player and when there was the opportunity to work with him, it was even better for me.
"The thing with Gus is that he oozes success."
Bridcutt is expected to play a part when Sunderland travel to Carrow Road to face Norwich City on Saturday afternoon.
