Sunderland manager Steve Bruce has praised his side for battling back from two goals down to claim a point against West Bromwich Albion this afternoon.
The visiting Baggies opened up their advantage within the first five minutes, but goals from Nicklas Bendtner and Ahmed Elmohamady ensured that the spoils were shared at the Stadium of Light.
"[The start] was quite incredible," Bruce told Sky Sports News. "It was an awful start for us.
"But at least there was spirit there to haul ourselves back into the game which wasn't easy.
"The way we responded was good. We could gave easily folded but [the players] have rolled up their sleeves and had a right good go."
The draw leaves the Black Cats 14th in the Premier League table.
