Paulo Di Canio demands that his players show dignity in their final Premier League game of the season.

Sunderland manager Paulo Di Canio has demanded that his players show "dignity" in their final game of the season against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

Wigan Athletic's defeat to Arsenal on Tuesday night made sure that Sunderland would avoid relegation, but Di Canio has warned that he will cut short the players' holidays should they fail to perform.

"I told them we can win, draw or lose with dignity, respecting the club's name and the fans," BBC Sport quotes Di Canio as saying.

"If not, I will reduce their holiday [to the minimum four weeks]."

Sunderland could potentially move as high as 11th with victory on Sunday.
