Sunderland defender Younes Kaboul has admitted that he has been left scratching his head over the team's opening defeats of the Premier League season.
Dick Advocaat's side, who narrowly escaped relegation last season, suffered a 4-2 defeat to Leicester City on the opening day of the new campaign.
The Black Cats failed to bounce back in their next game as they were beaten 3-1 by newly-promoted side Norwich City at the Stadium of Light.
"I don't know [what's gone wrong]," The Chronicle quotes Kaboul as saying. "I can't tell you because if I had the answer, we wouldn't have lost the second game.
"We need to be better and we will get better. In the first two games we haven't done enough to win and that's why we're looking forward to the game on Saturday."
Sunderland will take on Swansea City on home soil this weekend.
