Dick Advocaat: 'Sunderland will give everything against Arsenal'

Sunderland boss Dick Advocaat backs his players to give their all against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

Sunderland boss Dick Advocaat has promised that his team will "give everything" to secure their Premier League survival against Arsenal on Wednesday.

The Black Cats need just a point from their penultimate game of the season at the Emirates Stadium to confirm their top-flight status for another year.

Sunderland go into the match as overwhelming underdogs, but Advocaat is confident that his players will fight hard for the result that they need.

"We will give everything to get a point, but [Arsenal are] a great team," he told reporters. "In this game you have to show yourself as a football player. We will fight from the beginning to the end. Getting a point on Wednesday will be better for my heart as well. We have to make it as hard as possible defensively and be sharp."

Sunderland head to the capital on a four-match unbeaten run in the Premier League.
