Sunderland full-back Phil Bardsley believes that he and his teammates can have no regrets at the end of the season as long as they 'give everything' in the final eight games.
The Black Cats are currently at the bottom of the Premier League table, seven points adrift of safety.
"As long as you give your best and can go on your summer holidays with your head held high saying 'I gave it everything I had to try and keep us in the Premier League', that's all you can do," Bardsley told The Express.
"It is about personal pride and now it's all about eight more games to keep our status in the top flight."
Gus Poyet's side will take on Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane this evening.
