Sunderland secured a 3-2 victory in the final game of the Peace Cup against Dutch outfit Groningen in Korea.
It was the Premier League club who secured an early lead when Connor Wickham poked home from close range after Titus Bramble had been denied with a header.
However, Groningen moved 2-1 ahead with a Hyun-Jun Suk strike and a Mitchell Schet finish just before the half-time whistle.
The second period began in a similar way to the first, with both sides pushing forward at every opportunity, but the game turned following the introduction of Black Cats striker Ryan Noble.
The youngster first set up Frazier Campbell for the equaliser, before striking an 18-yard effort into the top corner in the final moments to secure the win.
Sunderland secured third spot in the Peace Cup.
