Islam Slimani displaces Shinji Okazaki for Leicester City's trip to Sunderland.

Islam Slimani has come in for Shinji Okazaki for champions Leicester City's trip to Sunderland this afternoon.

The change is just one from manager Claudio Ranieri following the 2-2 draw with Middlesbrough last weekend, with Slimani - who rescued a point against Boro with an injury-time penalty - partnering Jamie Vardy up front in a 4-4-2 formation.

Riyad Mahrez, Andy King, Daniel Amartey and Marc Albrighton continue to patrol the middle of the park, with Danny Simpson, Robert Huth, Wes Morgan and Christian Fuchs firm in the back four.

Nampalys Mendy is named among the substitutes this afternoon, having been out since August after suffering an ankle injury on his debut.

Meanwhile, the hosts make just one change from the side that suffered a 2-0 defeat at Liverpool as they look to capitalise on the Foxes' faltering league form.

David Moyes brings in Papy Djilobodji - returning from suspension - to his back four as John O'Shea drops down to the bench.

Sebastian Larsson is named in a matchday squad for the first time this season, taking a place on the bench following a lengthy spell out due to knee surgery over the summer.

Jan Kirchhoff is also named among the substitutes, having been on the sidelines with a hamstring injury since October.

Sunderland: Pickford; Jones, Kone, Djilobodji, van Aanholt; Denayer, Ndong, Pienaar; Watmore, Defoe, Anichebe
Subs: Mannone, O'Shea, Januzaj, Manquillo, Khazri, Kirchhoff, Larsson

Leicester City: Zieler; Simpson, Huth, Morgan, Fuchs; Mahrez, Amartey, King, Albrighton; Slimani, Vardy
Subs: Hamer, Hernández, Musa, Schlupp, Okazaki, Gray, Mendy
