Sunderland forward Connor Wickham is reportedly poised to sign a new five-year deal with the club.
The 21-year-old's current contract expires at the end of the season, and the Black Cats were fearful that the striker would run it down and leave on a free next summer.
Wickham also has the option of moving in January for a small transfer fee, but has reportedly decided to stay with Sunderland after becoming a prominent figure for Gus Poyet's men over the past six months.
The England Under-21 international has penned a deal worth £60,000 per week to keep him with the Wearsiders until the end of the 2019-20 season, according to The Telegraph.
Wickham has scored two goals for Sunderland this season in 15 appearances in the Premier League.
