Cheltenham Town forward Mohamed Eisa has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Sunderland.
Last summer, Eisa moved to Cheltenham from Greenwich Borough and went on to contribute 23 goals from 45 appearances in League Two.
The 24-year-old still has two years remaining on his contract, but according to Sky Sports News, that has not prevented Sunderland from showing an interest.
According to the report, the Black Cats have lodged an offer in the region of £1m, although it has been suggested that Cheltenham are looking for £1.5m.
Sunderland have been busy in the transfer market since the arrival of Jack Ross but the North-East outfit are low on strikers, with Joel Asoro having completed a move to Swansea City.
