Carlos Carvalhal: "We have to give credit to Notts County"

Carlos Carvalhal pays tribute to Notts County after the League Two side came from behind to claim a 1-1 draw with Swansea City in the FA Cup fourth round.

Carlos Carvalhal has paid tribute to Notts County after his Swansea City side were held to a 1-1 draw in Saturday's FA Cup fourth-round tie at Meadow Lane.

The Premier League strugglers edged ahead on the stroke of half time thanks to Luciano Narsingh's strike.

However, the hosts - who ply their trade in League Two - improved after the restart and drew level through Jon Stead just after the hour mark.

"We have to give credit to Notts County because they used long balls and physicality to get back in the game," Carvalhal told BBC Sport at full time.

"But after it was 1-1 we controlled the game again, we prepared the team to play against a physical team, and we could have scored with three or four chances.

"Kris (Kristoffer Nordfeldt), my goalkeeper said the ball was out [for County's goal]. But I cannot say from where I am - it's the linesman's call - but it was 60 metres from where I was, so I cannot say."

The Swans currently sit bottom of the Premier League table.
