Swansea City captain Angel Rangel has been ruled out for the next six weeks following groin surgery.
The defender underwent the operation to correct a problem that has seen him sidelined since the beginning of the year.
"Swansea City skipper Angel Rangel is expected to return to first-team training in six weeks following successful surgery," read an official statement from the club.
"The Spaniard went under the knife in London on Monday to cure a groin problem, and he is set to play a part in the club's Premier League run-in after the successful procedure."
Rangel has made just six appearances for the Swans this term due to persistent injury problems, least featuring in their 2-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur on January 2.
