Report: Swansea's Ki Sung-Yueng an injury doubt for Newcastle United clash

Swansea City midfielder Ki Sung-Yueng is said to remain a doubt for his side's game against Newcastle after complaining of a hamstring strain.

Ki Sung-Yueng remains a doubt for Swansea City's home clash against Newcastle United due to a hamstring strain, according to reports.

The South Korean midfielder was forced off shortly before half-time against Chelsea last Saturday after complaining of the niggle.

WalesOnline claims that Swans staff are confident that Ki has not suffered a serious issue, but will struggle to make this weekend's game against Steve McClaren's new side.

Jack Cork is expected to step up to replace the 26-year-old former Celtic man in Garry Monk's starting lineup after impressing against Jose Mourinho's side on the opening weekend of the season.
