Live Commentary: Swansea City 0-3 Everton - as it happened

Sports Mole brings you live coverage of Everton's trip to the Liberty Stadium to take on Swansea City in the Premier League's early fixture.

Good afternoon and welcome to Sports Mole's live commentary of Everton's trip to Swansea City.

The visiting Toffees head to the Liberty Stadium with a positive record against their hosts, having not lost any of the 15 contests between the two sides.

However, this time out they face an in-form Swansea side who have started the new Premier League season brightly under Michael Laudrup. The Swans, like Everton, have seven points from their opening four matches.

As always, you won't miss a kick with our coverage.

2.41pmAnd last but by no means least we have Southampton vs. Aston Villa. Thanks for joining us this afternoon and enjoy the remainder of the Premier League weekend!

2.40pmWest Ham fans can keep up to date with their match against Sunderland here.

2.40pmFirst up we've got Chelsea vs. Stoke.

2.39pmThat's as far as our coverage goes from the Liberty Stadium. However, we're not done at Sports Mole. We have live commentary of THREE of the 3pm matches...

2.38pmThoroughly deserved three goals and three points for travelling Everton. They played Swansea, who cannot even complain about the fact that they had ten men for 30-odd minutes, off the park. David Moyes is bound to be one happy manager this weekend.

2.37pmFULL TIME: Swansea 0-3 Everton

90+2 minOFF THE BAR! Almost a consolation for Swansea as De Guzman sends his free-kick from distance crashing against the woodwork with Howard well beaten.

90 minThree minutes of stoppage time to be played...

85 minSUBSTITUTION: Double change for Everton. Gueye and Oviedo on, Pienaar and Fellaini off.

83 min"We're going to win league" sing the Everton fans. Steady boys, steady!

82 minWell it's about time! Baines whips in a free-kick for Fellaini, whose header flies into the net with the aid of a deflection off Swansea defender Williams. The only surprise is it took so long for the Toffees to notch a third.

81 minGOAL! Swansea 0-3 Everton (Fellaini)

80 minCHANCE! This is like a training game at the moment. Anichebe has two goes and Fellaini another, but between them they cannot find a third for Everton. I would not want to be in that changing room if Swansea find a way back into this.

77 minCHANCE! Another glaring chance goes a begging for Everton. Baines raids down the left and crosses for an unmarked Anichebe, who somehow volleys wide. Everton really should be at least 5-0 up here.

73 minOFF THE LINE! So close for Everton. Fellaini thinks he's done enough with a flicked header but Britton has other ideas and heads clear. That's why you should always have a man on the post folks.

71 minSUBSTITUTION: Goalscorer Mirallas comes off to be replaced by Naismith, while for Swansea Graham is off and Stecther is on.

69 minBOOKING! First booking of the day for Everton. Leon Osman is the recipitant for bringing down Routledge.

65 minWHAT A MISS! Everton should be safe. Anichebe drills in a cross for Fellaini who somehow lifts the ball over the bar from six yards out. If you asked him to do that again, I bet he couldn't!

63 minAll Everton at the moment. They look in complete control. If Swansea were a boxer they would be on the ropes. One more goal for the Toffees will end this match as a contest.

57 minRED CARD! Oh dear Nathan Dyer. The half-time sub receives his second booking for a trip on Baines on the edge of the area. What was he thinking. He was on for 12 minutes! It's an uphill task for Swansea now.

56 minBOOKING! Rangel is cautioned for hauling down Anichebe. Swansea have been unable to deal with the big Nigerian today.

55 minSUBSTITUTION: Defender Tate is replaced by midfielder Britton. Swansea are really going for this now.

53 minCHANCE! What a game this is turning out to be! Up the other Ki forces Howard into a diving save from 12 yards out.

52 minOFF THE BAR! Everton should be over the hill and far away. A quick break sees Fellaini pull the ball back for Mirallas. The Belgian cracks a shot against the bar, before Anichebe fires straight at Vorm with the rebound. If Swansea get back in this, Moyes will be spitting feathers.

50 minCHANCE! Michu really should have done better for Swansea. He breaks free and finds himself one-on-one with Howard. The American spreads himself to save, but if Michu had got his head up, Dyer was unmarked to the right of him for a simple tap in.

48 minIt's been a much better start from Swansea. They're playing at a much higher tempo and Everton are looked a little uncomfortable. Next goal in this match is massive.

45 minSwansea get the second half underway...

1.49pmSUBSTITUTION: Laudrup has reacted to his side's first half showing. Dyer, who was surprisingly benched, has replaced debutant Hernandez.

1.48pmThe players out and the second half is just moments away...

1.42pmHere's an amazing stat for you. Swansea, who are used to dominating teams at home, had 39% of the ball during the opening 45 minutes. They've really been beaten at their own game so far.

1.36pmFancy some half-time reading? Of course you do. My colleague Matt Law has put together this report of the opening 45 minutes at the Liberty Stadium.

1.35pmWhat a cracking half from an Everton point of view. They've done to Swansea what Swansea normally do to other teams. That second goal in particular was one of the best team goals that I've seen in a long time. For Swansea, the half-time whistle could not have come quick enough. They've been wasteful and slow in possession - very un-Swansea.

1.33pmHALF-TIME: Swansea 0-2 Everton

45 minCHANCE! Boy how Swansea could have done with that. Ki catches Pienaar asleep and slips in Angel Rangel. The full-back fires low at goal, but Howard somehow turns the ball over the bar.

44 minWhat a stunning move from Everton. It all starts with Phil Neville down by his own corner flag. The ball eventually ends up wide on the right with Steven Pienaar, who sends in a low cross for Mirallas. Vorm pushes his first effort onto the bar, but the Belgian is on hand to nod in the rebound. Great goal.

43 minGOAL! Swansea 0-2 Everton (Mirallas)

42 min...But the delivery from Baines is not his best and Swansea eventually clear.

41 minFree-kick to Everton in a dangerous position wide on the right...

39 minCHANCE! Almost a dream debut for Ki. The Swansea midfielder wraps the inside of right foot round the ball from 25 yards out. However, his effort goes inches wide of Howard's post. It's all Swansea now.

37 minDOUBLE CHANCE! Now they're playing! Swansea's Routledge wriggles into the box but his shot is deflected wide by Jagielka. Michu heads the resultant corner over the bar.

33 minCHANCE! Swansea have woken up! Michu draws Tim Howard out of goal before pulling the ball back for Hernandez. The pint-sized winger chips goalwards, only for Seamus Coleman to head off the line.

31 minIt's still all Everton. Moyes will be happy with the way his side has played, but will probably be a little disappointed that the scoreline is not more convincing.

27 minJust seen a replay of the goal and it looks as though Fellaini used his hand to knock the ball through for Anichebe. It wasn't too dissimilar to the basketball that Peter Crouch produced last week.

25 minThat goal has failed to provoke a reaction from the home side. The Swans are way of the pace at the moment. If anything, it's Everton who look the more likely to score again.

22 minWhat did I just say!? Tate is nowhere as Fellaini knocks the ball on for Anichebe inside the area and the frontman fires in left footed from six yards out. A fully deserved goal for Everton.

21 minGOAL! Swansea 0-1 Everton (Anichebe)

20 minAnother minus for Swansea is that Tate is really struggling to deal with Anichebe at the moment. The Nigerian frontman is certainly winning that battle.

19 minHe will probably end up scoring once I've said this but Michu has been disappointing so far. He's looked so sharp for Swansea this season, but as yet has been extremely sluggish on the ball.

16 minCHANCE! First thing we've seen of debutant Hernandez. The Spaniard lines up a volley from the edge of the box but shoots wide. It was also Swansea's first effort of the match.

13 min...But the full-back disappointing finds the wall.

12 minBOOKING! Ashley Williams is a lucky boy. He brings down Anichebe, who is through on goal. However, Alan Tate was only just covering his teammate. Extremely fortunate. As a result, Everton now have a free-kick 25 yards from goal. Baines is sure to take...

9 minAnd just as I say that Swansea are now beginning to get into their stride. They're having a lot more of the ball and are beginning to put the visitors on the back foot. It's been a really interesting watch so far.

6 minEverton are playing some really slick football at the moment. They'll want a goal soon because Swansea will surely wake up any minute now!

3 minDOUBLE CHANCE! Both fall to Everton's Kevin Mirallas and he really should have scored both. The Belgian international is denied twice by Vorm from close range. David Moyes will not be a happy man.

2 minCHANCE! Very good headed effort from Anichebe his held by Vorm at the second attempt. Either side of the goalkeeper and Everton would have been one goal up there.

1 minEverton get the game started...

12.45pmBefore we get underway, there will be a 60-second applause for former Swansea chairman Malcolm Struel, who died earlier this week.

12.42pmAnyway, the players are out and the handshakes (no-one ignored each other) have been completed. Almost game time.

12.41pmAlso, Fellaini to notch first at 7/1 is very tempting. The Swans are not exactly the tallest of teams.

12.37pmThose that fancy the Toffees to maintain that stretch can get odds of around 7/5. The draw (which I fancy) is 23/10.

12.36pmAs mentioned above, Everton are not exactly the most welcome of opponents for Swansea. The Welsh club have never beaten the Toffees in 15 attempts. Will they bring an end to that run today? The bookmakers will give you odds of 2/1 that they do.

12.31pmEverton X1: Howard; Coleman, Baines, Heitinga, Jagielka; Neville, Osman, Pienaar, Fellaini; Mirallas, Anichebe

12.30pmMeanwhile, travelling Everton will be without leading marksman Nikica Jelavic. The Croatian is suffering with a shin injury that he sustained during Monday's 2-2 draw with Newcastle United. His place has gone to Victor Anichebe.

12.27pmSwansea X1: Vorm; Rangel, Tate, Williams, Davies; De Guzman, Ki, Michu, Routledge, Hernandez; Graham

12.25pmThere are two debuts for the home side in the form of Pablo Hernandez and Ki Sung-Yeung. Somewhat surprisingly Nathan Dyer has been forced to settle for a place on the Swansea bench. He will be joined by Leon Britton, who has been ill recently.

12.23pmWithout further ado, let's get straight into some team news - some of which, is pretty interesting.

12.17pmAfternoon everyone. We've got a decent match here to get the fifth round of Premier League games underway. Excited? Hope so!
