Ki Sung-Yueng wants European football

Ki Sung-Yueng has revealed that he is aiming to play in Europe with Swansea City.

The midfielder rejected the chance to play in Europe with Celtic to join the Premier League side in the summer.

Victory in the League Cup final will earn Michael Laudrup's side a Europa League place and the South Korean international, who has impressed this season, is hoping to deliver at Wembley.

"I decided not to stay at Celtic and play in the Champions League so it would be a nice reward for me to come to Swansea and also play European football next season," said the 24-year-old.

"It's always a great experience to play in competitions like the Champions League or the Europa League.

"I've enjoyed it in the past. It's a big experience and I hope my team-mates get to sample it too if we win at Wembley."

Sung-Yueng signed a five-year deal at the Liberty Stadium in the summer.
