Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup believes it is "no secret" that his club will have to sign a number of players during the summer.

Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup has insisted that his side need alternatives in attack in order to continue their progression.

The Swans are close to securing a top-10 finish in the Premier League table, while they also won the Capital One Cup in February.

However, Laudrup has acknowledged that in order to stay competitive, they need to make additions to their squad.

The 48-year-old told Wales Online: "I don't want to go into details, although I think there's no secret that I think we need some alternatives to scoring goals.

"But there is an understanding of the players we want and the board know we need to strengthen the squad just to stay where we are. The teams below us in the table will spend heavily to try and get to where we are.

"But we have to do it quickly and almost secretly because the moment other clubs in the Premier League get a feeling Swansea are going for a player they might decide they want him as well – and that makes it difficult for us."

Michu has scored 22 goals for Swansea this season, but the next best total is six from Nathan Dyer.
