Garry Monk calls for end of Stoke City hoodoo

Swansea boss Garry Monk calls on his troops to register a first Premier League win away to Stoke City on Sunday afternoon.

Garry Monk has challenged his Swansea City team to end their hoodoo over Stoke City and come away with three points from the Britannia Stadium on Sunday.

The Swans have never beaten the Potters away from home in the Premier League era, and Monk says that his troops will go into the clash with enough belief to claim a maiden win.

"Stoke is never an easy place to go and we know we have never won there in the Premier League," he told Swansea's official club website.

"However, we should have won the last time we played there in February, so hopefully we can repeat that performance and get the victory. We have to go there with belief and impose ourselves on the game."

Kickoff on Sunday is scheduled for 4pm.
