Brendan Rodgers has begun negotiations with Swansea City over a new long-term deal.
The 38-year-old manager, who is currently on a 12-month rolling contract at the former Championship side, has revealed that he expects the new deal to be signed by the end of the month.
"We're almost there, it's just very small details like finance," the Daily Mail quotes Rodgers as saying. "[Chairman] Huw [Jenkins] and I have a really strong, open relationship and we had a good chat.
"It wasn't like he put a contract on the table and I took it away and looked at it. I just gave him an idea of where I think I'm at in terms of value and worth here. We also spoke about training facilities, investment in the team and moving forward.
"It was all really positive and I left very pleased. Hopefully it will all be sorted very soon, by the end of the month."
The Northern Irishman has received praise for his side's style of play since getting promoted to the Premier League in the summer.
