Brendan Rodgers targets more additions

Brendan Rodgers suggests that he may add more players to his squad following the arrivals of Rory Donnelly and Gylfi Sigurdsson.

Swansea City manager Brendan Rodgers has suggested that he is looking to make further additions to his squad in January.

The Swans boss recruited young Irish striker Rory Donnelly from Cliftonville last week and also secured the loan services of Gylfi Sigurdsson on Saturday.

Former Reading midfielder Sigurdsson joins on a six-month deal from German side Hoffenheim to link up with Rodgers once again, having worked with him during the Welshman's time at the Madjeski Stadium.

"I like young players with talent, personality and hunger to improve and both of these guys have got that," said Rodgers.

"Hopefully we can maybe organise something else in that vein in the next one or two days."

Goals from Nathan Dyer and Wayne Routledge earned the Swans a 2-0 win at Aston Villa this afternoon.
