Report: Leon Britton in line to replace Paul Clement at Swansea City

Long-serving Swansea City midfielder Leon Britton is believed to be in line to replace Paul Clement in case the 45-year-old is dismissed.

Leon Britton has been earmarked as Swansea City's managerial first choice in case Paul Clement is sacked, according to a report.

The 35-year-old midfielder was named as assistant manager at the Liberty Stadium in November following Claude Makelele's departure.

Swansea are currently bottom of the Premier League table and sit four points from safety going into Monday's game at Everton.

According to The Sun, the Swans board is concerned about Clement's ability to turn the team's form around and, should they choose to dismiss the 45-year-old, Britton will be given the nod.

Former West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Pulis and Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic are also believed to be in the running for the Swansea hotseat.
