Napoli defender Federico Fernandez is reportedly on the verge of joining Swansea City.
The 25-year-old was part of the Argentina side that reached the World Cup final, but he has not been a regular for his club.
According to BBC Sport, Swansea will pay £7m for Fernandez and they are hopeful that he will complete a medical on Friday.
The Swans do not expect there to be any issues with his work permit, but due to his lack of match fitness he will not play against Manchester United in the club's first Premier League match of the season this weekend.
Fernandez has won the Coppa Italia twice with Napoli since his arrival in 2011.
