Fulham Martin Jol has hinted that both Brede Hangeland and Giorgos Karagounis are "close" to signing new contracts with the club.
As it stands, the duo will be free agents in the summer when their current deals are due to expire.
However, when asked about the situation, Jol has suggested that a successful conclusion is not too far away.
"I think we are close. We will have a few players [signing new deals] in the next couple of weeks. Over the last couple of months Brede has been a tower," Jol is quoted as saying but the London Evening Standard.
"I do not have to convince 90% of my players [to stay] because they want to play here. They love to play here and Giorgos loves to play here."
The Whites are currently 11th in the Premier League standings.
