Swansea City will pay off forward Michu in order to allow the one-cap Spain international to leave the club, according to reports.
The 29-year-old has not played for the South Wales club since April 2014, and following an injury-hit loan stint with Italian side Napoli last season, Michu is now training with Spanish fourth-tier side UP Langreo.
According to Wales Online, Swansea have now agreed a deal with Michu's representatives to release the player and pay a portion of the remaining wages due on his contract before it runs out in seven months.
Langreo are managed by Michu's brother Hernan Perez, and it is suggested that the troubled striker could sign for the Asturian club in order to continue playing.
Michu scored 28 goals and provided 11 assists in 67 games for Swansea.
