Swansea City have reportedly had a £5m bid for Romanian midfielder Alexandru Maxim rejected by Stuttgart.
The 24-year-old joined the German outfit from Romanian football in 2012 and has made 57 appearances during his time in the Bundesliga, scoring nine times in the process.
According to the Daily Mail, Swansea launched a £5m offer for the midfielder, but that was quickly rejected.
Swansea have money in the bank this January after sanctioning the £30m sale of Wilfried Bony to Manchester City earlier this month.
The Welsh club currently sit ninth in the Premier League.
