Wayne Routledge signs a new four-and-a-half-year contract at Swansea City.

English winger Wayne Routledge has signed a new four-and-a-half-year contract at Swansea City.

The 28-year-old joined the Welsh club from Newcastle United in 2011, having enjoyed previous spells at Queens Park Rangers and Aston Villa.

He made 24 appearances for the club last season, scoring once, however, he has become a key member of their first team this season, scoring five goals in 18 league matches.

The experienced midfielder, who is a former England Under-21 international, will now remain with the club until at least 2017.
