Franck Tabanou will undergo a medical at Swansea City on Thursday afternoon ahead of completing a switch from Saint-Etienne, according to a report.
The 26-year-old, who agreed personal terms with the Welsh club earlier this month, is expected to sign a four-year contract at the Liberty Stadium.
Despite previous rumours suggesting that a move had already been completed, Tabanou has yet to officially finalise a deal that is thought to be worth in the region of £3.6m.
BBC Sport suggests that, barring any last-minute complications, the versatile Frenchman will be unveiled as a Swansea player later today.
Current Swans star Bafetimbi Gomis knows the incoming defender well, having linked up with him during his time at Saint-Etienne.
