Sweden defender Olof Mellberg has said that his Man of the match award "means nothing" after losing 3-2 to England at Euro 2012.
Mellberg, who scored twice in the second half to send Sweden ahead, admits that the award is hard to accept after his side were eliminated from contention for a place in the knockout rounds.
"It means nothing, this award," he told reporters.
"It feels strange to win something when [we lost]. Thanks for choosing me but it is hard to accept when we have been eliminated."
Sweden face France in their final game next week.
