Late Leo Bonatini goal gives Estoril Praia win over Tondela

A late goal from Leo Bonatini gives Estoril Praia a 1-0 win over Tondela in the Primeira Liga this evening.

A late goal from Leo Bonatini has given Estoril Praia a 1-0 away win against Tondela this evening.

Tondela started the match positively, as Luis Alberto missed two chances take the lead, before Nuno Santos headed wide from a corner.

Estoril's first chance fell to Mano, who tested Tondela's English keeper Matt Jones with a tame shot, before Bruno Cesar produced a weak effort on goal for the visitors before half time.

After the break, Gerso Fernandes forced a good save from Jones after cutting inside from the wing, before the forward missed another chance to score the opener soon after.

Estoril took the lead on 80 minutes through Bonatini, who headed past Jones after meeting a right-wing cross from Anderson Luis.

Pawel Kieszek made a good double save late on to keep a clean sheet for Estoril and secure the three points.
