Torino coach Giampiero Ventura insists that survivial is far from assured despite their eight-point cushion over the bottom three.

Torino coach Giampiero Ventura has conceded that his side still have work to do in order to secure another season in Serie A.

Parma brushed Torino aside 4-1 this afternoon as the Turin club collapsed to concede four times in the last 15 minutes, thanks largely to a hat-trick from Amauri.

Ventura's men are still eight points clear of the relegation zone but the veteran boss has admitted that survival is his only aim at this stage.

He told Mediaset Premium: "We played great for 75 minutes as we owned the pitch up to that point.

"It is difficult to see a match like that in the Serie A. In the final 15 minutes we were unable to think clearly. When they scored to make it 2-1 we gave up and this is a negative."

"Contract renewal? I don't even know if I will reach the end of the season. For now I don't know anything as we must first worry about achieving safety. If we play like we did the first 75 minutes, we can play on par with any adversary."

Torino are currently 15th in Serie A and level with Chievo and Bologna on 32 points.
