Torino frustrated by Atalanta BC

Torino hit the crossbar with the final kick of the game as they are held to a 0-0 draw by Atalanta BC in their Serie A match at the Stadio Olimpico.

Torino were unable to find a way past a stubborn Atalanta BC defence as their Serie A match at the Stadio Olimpico ended 0-0.

Emiliano Moretti came close to making the breakthrough for Torino just before the half-hour mark when he headed an effort narrowly wide of the far post.

The visitors had to wait until four minutes before the break for their best opening, as Guglielmo Stendardo saw his header kept out by Jean-Francois Gillet.

After the break, Boukary Drame should have done better when he was picked out unmarked at the back post, but he fired his effort high over the bar.

In the fourth minute of stoppage time, Torino almost snatched the three points, but Alexander Farnerud's free kick was tipped onto the bar by Marco Sportiello as the game ended at a stalemate.
