Toronto FC have announced that Queens Park Rangers defender Ryan Nelsen is to become their new head coach.
QPR manager Harry Redknapp recently confirmed that the New Zealander had been in talks about a coaching role, although at the time Redknapp believed the MLS club in question to be DC United.
Nevertheless, talks with Canadian outfit Toronto have proved to be successful and the 35-year-old has agreed to take over from Paul Marriner.
However, there is still some uncertainty as to when Nelsen will begin his duties.
Toronto are said to want him to start as soon as possible, while the R's are thought to be keen for him to remain with them until the end of the Premier League season in May.
While talks take place, Nelsen will definitely be available for QPR's match against Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend.
